ORGANISATION OF EASTERN CARIBBEAN STATES (OECS) - DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL LAND POLICIES IN THE CONTEXT OF CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND SUSTAINABLE LAND MANAGEMENT.

European Union (EU) Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) /Organisations of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

November 2016 to September 2018.

Provided services of Team Leader (Environmental/Climate Change Policy Specialist) together with Physical Planning Law Specialist, and Environmental Policy and Institutions Specialist, to undertake the review of laws, policies and institutional frameworks for land management/ administrations and sustainable development in the context of climate change. 


Tasked to identify deficiencies in the existing legal and policy framework and draft national policies and legislation to strengthen the legal and institutional framework for sustainable land management, climate change risk management and disaster risk. 


Supported and assisted in the development (through broad-based consultative process) of National Land Policies to address risks from climate change and disasters while building capacity for sustainable land management in four OECS countries (Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines). November 2016 to September 2018.
